Action 2018 – JSIF Interventions Continued

  • The Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF), in partnership with the Institute for Workforce Education and Development, trained 62 unemployed persons in land- scaping and facility maintenance at a cost of $9 million.
  • 2,500 children and young people from communities islandwide benefitted from 36 summer camps staged by JSIF at a cost of $38.4 million.
  • At-risk youth in five parishes benefitted from JSIF’s implementation of an $18-million Behaviour Modification Initiative/ Community-based Behaviour Change Programme, over eight months.
